Non stick layer comes off quickly

I'm aware that other reviewer had better experiences. But I'm extremely disappointed (and concerned) that my original pot lasted almost a year and the replacement only over 6 months. One possibility is that I rinse my rice before cooking since I purchase imported rice from Thailand, and the fact that rice accumulates more arsenic than other grains and washing can reduce it. I place my uncooked rice in the pot, add water, and slightly mix it by hand and drain. If that was the cause, I don't feel it's high quality coating. If that wasn't the cause, it's mysterious. After purchasing 2 pots, I will be looking into a different cooker.
